Bryson City is the seat of Swain
County, home to much of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park,
including its highest peak, Clingmans Dome. It is served by US
Highways 19 and 74, only an hour to Asheville, just 2 hours to
Greenville, SC, Knoxville and Chattanooga, TN, and 3 hours to
Atlanta, GA.
We have beautiful mountain roadways, the southern leg of the
Blue Ridge Parkway and the curvy "Tail of the Dragon" at Deal's
Gap. Bryson City's central location offers an endless
array of day-trips to nearby Asheville, Gatlinburg, Cades Cove,
Joyce Kilmer Forest, Cherohala Skyway, Chimney Rock and dozens
of small towns.
The Nantahala River, one of the nation's most popular whitewater
venues, and Fontana Lake, are just a couple of the local
recreational opportunities. |
